In Memory of Susan Zeloznicki

June 15, 2004

We are saddened by the loss of ADLA volunteer and board member, Susan Zeloznicki, who passed away June 15, 2004. With her talent and expertise in public relations and fundraising, Susan was an extraordinary asset to ADLA. Her level of commitment and dedication was an inspiration to everyone with whom she worked.

She adhered strongly to the concept of animal protection, and her lifestyle reflected that philosophy at every level. From rescuing cats to public speaking, Susan was a tireless advocate for animals. She worked hard on many campaigns, legislative issues and public education, including No on 102 (wildlife supermajority initiative) and No on 201 (casinos at greyhound tracks). Susan served as the Arizona coordinator for Neiman-Carcass, The Fund for Animals’ anti-fur campaign, and she acted as Arizona co-director of the Humane Activist Network.

We will deeply miss Susan's tremendous energy, sense of humor, dedication and spirit. She was a very special person who left us much too soon.

Susan Remembered

"The 'Susans' of this world must be recognized by the humans who share this planet with all species. Bless Susan and all the 'Susans' who make such a difference. Theirs is a life well led and a legacy to all."

-- Carrol McDonald, Sedona, AZ
