Speak Up for Black-Tailed Prairie Dogs

Arizona Game & Fish has released its draft Proposal to Reestablish the Black-Tailed Prairie Dog in Southern Arizona.   Please come to a public meeting on February 21 or send comments by February 28 and express your support.  Black-tailed prairie dogs are an important species that was exirpated from Arizona.  Bringing them back to our state is an important step to restoring grasslands and provided habitat for many of Arizona's native animals.

The meeting will consist of a short presentation by the Department and then the public can comment on the proposed reintroduction site and the Draft reestablishment proposal.  Click here to view proposal.
