The Reasons Behind the Spay Neuter Hotline

Yet each year tens of thousands of unwanted animals are euthanized in Arizona shelters, because there are not enough homes for them. Untolled numbers of dogs and cats are abandoned in our state.  Because there are too many animals, more are available to become victims of violents acts of animal cruelty, to fall into the hands of animal hoarders.

The problems for dogs and cats are very different for a number of reasons.  ADLA is developing separate plans to address the problems of both species.

Because ADLA believes that so many issues that impact companion animals stem from overpopulation, it has devoted most of its resources to its Spay Neuter Hotline.  The mission of the Hotline is to help put an end to the dog and cat overpopulation crisis in Arizona.
