MOUNTAIN LION WORKSHOPS SET

Public Participants Must Register by August 16

August 1 , 2004
The Arizona Game & Fish Department has set two more mountain lion workshops to help develop urban mountain lion protocols. ADLA hopes you will register to attend and come to a training session the night before each event.

Flagstaff
Saturday, August 21, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
DuBois Center at Northern Arizona University

Phoenix
Saturday August 28, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Four Points Sheraton Hilton

To register, go to www.AZGFD.com or call (602) 942-3000. YOU MUST REGISTER BY AUGUST 16.

The evening before each workshop, ADLA and other organizations will host a preparation session. These will be fun and informative sessions with refreshments! What better way to spend a Friday night? More information on the sessions will be coming soon.

The facilitated workshops will be divided into three sessions: protocols, legislation, and research/education. These workshops are continuations of the initial workshop held in Tucson on May 1. Representatives from ADLA and many others attended and provided extensive comments during, and subsequent to, the Tucson workshop. We understand AZGFD will be revising the current report, and the revision will be available about 10 days before the Flagstaff meeting. To see the current report, go to www.gf.state.az.us/pdfs/w_c/lion/01%20-%20MOUNTAIN%20LION%20REPORT%20Final.pdf.
